Awhile ago my husband and I took a vacation & I purchased an underwater disposable camera. For the flight to Hawaii I packed it in my checked suitcases & wrapped it up in socks. But for the return flight I completely forget that it was in my purse & it went through the x-ray at security. I have finally used up all the photos on it (I took my digital camera on the trip too) but am wondering will there really be photos or just like black images? What does the x-ray do to film?

I recently did my PADI Advanced Open Water qualification and so far I’ve been using Kodak disposable waterproof cameras but I want to invest in a proper digital underwater camera or a camera and waterproof housing combo for about £200 or less. Can anyone recommend one that would be good to use in all circumstances (i.e on the surface as a normal camera, just below the surface, at depth etc)?
