endless ocean (wii) abyss?

theres this one fish i found with the ??? but ive tried everything to get him (food, petting him, underwater pen, camera, and whistle) i cant find out what he is … he looks like: long tail, triangular head, purply color, red/orange mouth, and hes fairly small (he hardly looks like a fish…) any help?
