I’d go with a Lowrance LMS-520C. It’s a little over your $500 price range, but you can occasionally find them on sale for under $600. In the $500 range, take a look at the Garmin 178C. I have one in the console of my boat. It works great, I just don’t like it as well as the Lowrance, which I have in the bow. The Lowrance seems to have a better fish finder to me. The GPS is comparable on both.

I would go with the lorance lms-480 gps/fish finder they are great and if it shows fish in the weed beds you can usually catch them. good luck, The camera’s are ok but it takes time to get use to using them.

I have owned 4 bass boats over the past 17 years, and I would highly recommend Garmin for GPS and Lowrance for fish finder. I have owned several brands of each, but I think if you want to put more importance on the GPS capability, you should go with a GARMIN.
